BonoVox PR reviews every press release before distribution to ensure that content is newsworthy, accurate, and in an acceptable format. Attention to the following guidelines will help your press release receive prompt approval and distribution on the BonoVox PR Press Wire.

All press releases must contain a clear, timely, and newsworthy angle and be free of advertisements, direct addresses, and spam. Press releases should incorporate the following features/qualities:

Timely News: Timely information about a new product or service, business expansion or recent event, an organizational milestone like an anniversary or award, or the issuance of a tip sheet or expert opinion on a topic currently in the news. You must state the news announcement clearly in the headline.

Objective: BonoVox PR press releases should never address readers directly (i.e., "you," "I," "we," etc.) unless you are using them to quote a spokesperson from a company or organization. Similarly, such as exclamation points and upper case characters are highly discouraged. The less hyperbolic a press release is, the more credible it becomes in the opinion of most readers.

Valid Contact Information: BonoVox PR press releases must contain a valid contact name and phone number or an email address in the contact information. If it changes for your press release to remain on the press wire, you must update your contact information.

Written Authorization: In some instances, such as with network marketing companies, with the use of a stock ticker symbol, or with major corporate announcements such as (but not limited to) those related to mergers and acquisitions, BonoVox PR may require written authorization from the company before we can approve a press release for distribution. Independent representatives of network marketing companies and mergers and acquisitions must always obtain the company's express consent.

Authorized Ticker Symbols: We require authorization from the source company for each ticker symbol used.

Word Count: BonoVox PR press releases should be between 360 and 540 words depending on the press release package you select. The length of your release directly affects its successful distribution, and some search engines might not index press releases that are too short.

Grammar and Spelling: BonoVox PR press releases should be free of spelling and grammatical errors.

Format: BonoVox PR press releases cannot contain HTML tags or other forms of non-standard characters, tables, or forced line breaks. Releases also should not be written partially or entirely in all capital letters. Before submitting your press release, please ensure all links in your release are fully functional. Suppose your website is not available or fully operational at editorial review. In that case, you will need to remove the links from your release or wait until the website is in operation to submit.

A Clear News Source: BonoVox PR requires you to identify a clear news source in the headline. The news source is the company or organization that is issuing the release. If your agency, firm, or business is distributing on behalf of a client, the source would be the client's company or organization's name. It should also be clear how that company or organization relates to the news announcement.

Email Addresses: If you need to include an email address in the body of your press release, our editorial team will modify the email address to be in this format [name (at) example (dot) com].

Permissible File Types: BonoVox PR only accepts releases containing images with the following extensions: .jpeg, .gif, .png. We only accept videos with the following extension: .mp4.

Law Related Press Releases: BonoVox PR requires a case number, court of record, complaint number, or sufficient documentation for all press releases referencing legal action or criminal matters. We only accept press releases from a representing law firm. We do not accept press releases regarding legal cases from third-party firms. Please see exclusions for law related press releases below.
