The Mission of the Fort Tuthill Military History Museum is to preserve and present, the 156 year history of Arizona’s 158th Infantry Regiment, Arizona National Guard and Flagstaff’s Historic Fort Tuthill.
May 10, 2021 - Flagstaff, AZ -- Like many museums worldwide, The Fort Tuthill Military Museum experienced financial setbacks in 2020 due to covid-19 related shutdowns. To help recover some of the revenue lost, the museum has created a GoFundMe campaign to facilitate generous donations from the public. For over 20 years, The Fort Tuthill Military Museum has been keeping Arizona's military history alive with exhibits, programs, and tours that focus on the service of The 158th Infantry Regiment "Bushmasters" of the Arizona National Guard. The museum traces the 150-year history of this historic unit from its earliest days as a volunteer army to its role in Afghanistan in early 2000.
Poised to reopen on May 14th, 2021, the museum is excited to welcome patrons back to both of its buildings for the first time in over a year. In conjunction with the reopening, the museum will hold several fundraisers throughout the summer using the GoFundMe charity platform. The Fort Tuthill Military Museum asks supporters to donate online at GoFundMe.
With your support, the Fort Tuthill Military Museum will continue to educate the public with new and updated museum exhibits. Jim Warbasse, Executive Director of FTMM, explains, "every dollar raised will fund museum operations to include expanded hours and new and updated exhibits. We believe the GoFundMe Charity platform will enable us to continue to educate museum visitors on the distinguished history of the Arizona National Guard and the role historic Fort Tuthill played in that history."
