On the big screen located in Georges-Filion Park, screenings begin at dusk; Dance films Under the Stars are presented by Desjardins with the support of the City of Saint-Sauveur and the MRC des Pays-d’en-Haut. Two shows are planned (in case of rain, the activity will be held at the Chalet Pauline-Vanier):

– July 28th: Dirty Dancing (1987) by Emile Ardolino

– August 4th: Mary Poppins Returns by Rob Marshall.

The digital event FASS Forward presents short dance films from around the world. FASS Forward invites filmmakers who use digital art to showcase dance to submit their work. All dance styles are accepted. Selected films will be screened on July 21 at 7:30 p.m. at the Théâtre du Marais in Val-Morin (tickets required) and the jury will announce the winner at the end of the evening.

On July 31st, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., at the Saint-Sauveur Skatepark located in John-H.-Molson Park, Bboyizm and Crazy Smooth are coordinating the 2nd edition of the FASS dance battle, powered by Desjardins with the support of the MRC des Pays-d’en-Haut: some 15 of the best dancers from Ontario and Quebec will compete in this break and popping tournament.

On July 29th and 30th, and August 5th and 6th, in John-H.-Molson Park, Les Sentiers de la danse, presented by Desjardins, offers two routes interspersed with short dance and music performances lasting approximately 60 minutes, along the marked paths in the forest (limited places, reservations required). There are three departures per day: 2 p.m., 3 p.m. and 4 p.m. You must remain standing during this activity. With the support of the MRC des Pays-d’en-Haut, the Sentiers de la danse artists will also perform on the Desjardins stage located in Georges-Filion Park, offering a final show in the heart of the village on July 29th and 30th, and again on August 5th and 6th at 7 p.m.

On August 3rd at 10 a.m., as part of the Matinées jeunesse sponsored by Desjardins with the support of the City of Saint-Sauveur, Les Espagnolades celebrate the vibrant art of flamenco on the outdoor stage.

The greatest ballet companies will be represented by exceptional performers: London’s Royal Ballet with Cesar Corrales and Francesca Hayward, New York City Ballet with Sara Mearns, The National Ballet of Canada with Guillaume Côté, American Ballet Theatre with Thomas Forster and Cassandra Tenary, Les Grands Ballets Canadiens with Melih Mertel and Maude Sabourin, the Pacific Northwest Ballet with Angelica Generosa, the Royal Danish Ballet with Lazaro Corrales and the Ballet de l’Opéra de Paris which has just hired Canadian dancer Maeva Marcolini-Bowes, as well as independent dancer Sebastian Vinet. Over the course of two sparkling evenings, these artists will dazzle audiences with extraordinary pas de deux drawn from the classical, neo-classical and contemporary repertoires.
